Alicia Kaiser, PT, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT, Astym Cert

    SPRT was started by Alicia Kaiser in 2016 because she recognized the need for a more personal approach to physical therapy. She provides patients with state of the art one on one manual care, exercise, and education.


 Alicia has earned two Baccalaureate degrees one in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University and the other in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to pursue other specialized board certifications in sports medicine and orthopedic physical therapy. SCS, Sport Certified Specialist, 2003, re certified in 2013; OCS, Orthopedic Certified Specialist, 2006, re certified in 2016.

Alicia has over 25 years of experience in working in Sports Medicine and Orthopedic private practice with her areas of clinical experience in the athletic shoulder and knee and specialty focus on the spine. Her expertise in sports medicine has allowed her to work with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Passion professional sports teams She furthered her career in manual and manipulative treatment and earned the prestigious award of becoming a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedics and Manual Physical Therapy, FAAOMPT. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Slippery Rock University and Duquesne University teaching Sports and Manual Spine courses. Alicia become certified in performing Astym in 2012, also recently certified in the Functional Movement Screen FMS, Dr. Ma’s Integrative Dry Needling, and Rock Taping for Equine and Human Athlete.

 

In May of 2016 Alicia started, SPRT Rehab, LLC, Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Training, it is a “Concierge Style of physical therapy.” One on-One, mobile care at your home or on site.She utilizes Astym treatment on athletes for Sports Performance for Preventative, Performance and Recovery
